A Night at the Waterson - Open to All

Yvette had to admit that other than the one experience with messed up anti-shifting potion the time she'd spent in Siren Cove had probably been the best since she'd been turned. People didn't freak out about her weirdness here and in fact, with how much she hid it, people really didn't even comment or notice it at all. She had a super tiny place she was renting above the garage of a nice old lady with a discounted rent in exchanges for helping clean up around the place.

She was basically working all the time but that was fine with her, it wasn't anything she wasn't used to. Besides, her job at the Watersong was pretty great. She made a killing on tips and the customers were a lot nicer than what she was used to. Probably because no one messed with Lara, which was amazing. Lara was sexy and bad ass and a great boss. Yvette maybe had a bit of a lady boner for her but she was pretty sure everyone had a boner of some sort for Lara Quinn.

Most of her shift was fun, chatting and being friendly with clients while she made sure they were happy. She was good at it, picking it up quickly as promised. Plus, she got to watch the dancers, which was awesome. Dancing was always one of her favorite ways to blow off steam, whether it was at a high school dance or the one time she and friends had snuck in to a club using fake IDs.

Was the place had shut down she was still there, happy to be one of the ones on the closing shift. You got to learn to do a lot more when you closed or opened a place, which meant you learned more and were more valuable. You also got to pick up more work usually because those were the shifts no one else really wanted.

But for the most part she was almost done tonight, just some last minute cleaning of some areas and then she could go home. Slipping her earbuds in she cranked up the volume a bit and sang along softly while she began to dance about as she finished up.

"I didn't know that I was starvin' 'til I tasted you..."

[Talk to her at work, after she's off, or catch her when she's heading home!]

Lara laughed and shook her head. "You've never been in a room full of sirens letting their hair down before." She let a touch of her power out and wrapped it around Eve, smiling and watching her. "Trust me when I say you've never experienced anything like it."

"That's because I don't feel like turning you into a human footstool. I could, very easily, and you'd enjoy it, but that's not the kind of boss I am." Lara said, pulling her power back. "I'm matriarch. That's the tiniest fraction of my power and I have amazing control. The others don't have my control. They can't do anything much in here with the wards up, but when they're down..." She shrugged and smiled. "Take what you just felt and times it by a thousand and then imagine it pulling you in a hundred different directions." Lara turned and pulled out the talisman she'd been meaning to give Eve tonight. It was a portable version of the wards Lara had the witches put up. "If you want to work at all that night, you'll need this. Even if a sirens power isn't aimed at you, you'll get the runoff and you might not be able to make rational choices."

"It's basically a portable version of the wards here." Lara said, watching Eve looking it over. "It'll work outside too." She added, smiling. "Maybe not on a full moon...I haven't had a wolf working for me before to test it. But if the wards help at all, then it won't hurt, I think. "

"Good god, don't be silly." Lara said, laughing. "All my people wear them. Some even have them tattooed on. That's a bit of a commitment though. It has to be refreshed every new moon." Lara shrugged. "Magic stuff." She added by way of explanation. "It's yours." She said and wrapped Eve's hand around the talisman.
