A Night at the Waterson - Open to All
Yvette had to admit that other than the one experience with messed up anti-shifting potion the time she'd spent in Siren Cove had probably been the best since she'd been turned. People didn't freak out about her weirdness here and in fact, with how much she hid it, people really didn't even comment or notice it at all. She had a super tiny place she was renting above the garage of a nice old lady with a discounted rent in exchanges for helping clean up around the place.
She was basically working all the time but that was fine with her, it wasn't anything she wasn't used to. Besides, her job at the Watersong was pretty great. She made a killing on tips and the customers were a lot nicer than what she was used to. Probably because no one messed with Lara, which was amazing. Lara was sexy and bad ass and a great boss. Yvette maybe had a bit of a lady boner for her but she was pretty sure everyone had a boner of some sort for Lara Quinn.
Most of her shift was fun, chatting and being friendly with clients while she made sure they were happy. She was good at it, picking it up quickly as promised. Plus, she got to watch the dancers, which was awesome. Dancing was always one of her favorite ways to blow off steam, whether it was at a high school dance or the one time she and friends had snuck in to a club using fake IDs.
Was the place had shut down she was still there, happy to be one of the ones on the closing shift. You got to learn to do a lot more when you closed or opened a place, which meant you learned more and were more valuable. You also got to pick up more work usually because those were the shifts no one else really wanted.
But for the most part she was almost done tonight, just some last minute cleaning of some areas and then she could go home. Slipping her earbuds in she cranked up the volume a bit and sang along softly while she began to dance about as she finished up.
"I didn't know that I was starvin' 'til I tasted you..."
[Talk to her at work, after she's off, or catch her when she's heading home!]

"You really think I look good enough to be up there? Do you want me to audition? I can do it right now."

Lara smiled and jumped up on the bar, reaching behind and flipping on the spotlight to the stage. She tapped a track on the DJ program and waved a had at Eve. "Show me."

"I just mean there's a difference between looking nice and dancing professionally," she said. At the same moment though she hopped up on the stage without hesitation. She had never had a problem with being fearless.
She started to move to the music, closing her eyes at first, imagining Lara there watching her. She thought about how the woman made her feel, about guys and girls back home and along the way she'd been attracted to and just sort of... danced for them. She put all that desire and sensuality into a physical expression, blending in the moves of the other girls she had seen with her own.
After a bit she opened her eyes and locked them onto Lara's, making it an intimate show. She bit her lip, feeling her body flush, hoping the authenticity of how she felt would lend some authenticity to the dance. By the time it was over Yvette felt like she was going to crawl out of her skin with desire.
Instead, she did her best to casually hop off of the stage and shrug her shoulders.
"So, that's what I've got."

She clapped as Eve came down off the stage and smiled, hopping down off the bar and crossing over to her. "Well done. Very well done." She said, leaning her hip against the side of the stage. "You're a natural in more ways than one. Some of my sirens don't sing and dance as well as you do. Granted, they have other talents." She added with a sly smile. "But that's a whole other business. This, though...I think you'll be good at this." She tapped her bottom lip thoughtfully. "Ten percent payrise if you'll dance as well as serve." She offered. The dancing would only be a few times a shift as the rest of the dancers took their turns.

"I promise, I'll work twice as hard. I'll take dance classes on my own time to get better any everything. Thank you so much."

Lara laughed and hugged Eve back. She liked her a lot and making her staff happy was one of the parts of the job Lara loved best. Besides the fact that happy staff stuck around,of course.
"I think you're gonna do just fine." Lara said, letting Eve go and smiling at her. "Remember though, it's not a strip joint. And no dancing on the siren-only nights. You're too...raw for them to keep themselves to themselves. We take the wards down those nights so the atmosphere gets a whole lot more charged than usual." Lara grinned. "I don't want to have to go all scaly and break up a fight because you're too sexy."

"And yeah, it's totally a drag when people fighting over me bust up a building," she said, rolling her eyes a bit. She had had guys fight over before but that was more about the guys and less about her. Yvette doubted she could make that happen here with adults.

"That doesn't feel so bad."

"Are- are you serious?" she said, her eyes going wide. She didn't think that something like that was possible, although maybe she should have. Was there anything that magic couldn't? Well, besides cure her. "How much? You can take the cost out of my paycheck a bit at a time if you need to."
