"I'm matriarch. That's the tiniest fraction of my power and I have amazing control. The others don't have my control. They can't do anything much in here with the wards up, but when they're down..." She shrugged and smiled. "Take what you just felt and times it by a thousand and then imagine it pulling you in a hundred different directions." Lara turned and pulled out the talisman she'd been meaning to give Eve tonight. It was a portable version of the wards Lara had the witches put up. "If you want to work at all that night, you'll need this. Even if a sirens power isn't aimed at you, you'll get the runoff and you might not be able to make rational choices."
